My AOX® OPC preparation is based on high-quality Demeter grape seed flour from our own vineyards. Due to its high content of antioxidant OPC (oligomeric proanthocyanidins), grape seed flour is one of the foods with the highest antioxidant capacity (ORAC value).

OPCs are among the strongest known antioxidants and far surpass the effectiveness of others. OPC is often described in connection with vascular health, anti-aging, the immune system, and general cell protection.

For my AOX® OPC preparation, I exclusively use grape seed flour from my own biodynamic farm. The quality of the raw materials plays a crucial role, especially with grape seeds. Grapes are among the crops that are often intensively chemically treated in conventional cultivation. Residues of pesticides can therefore be found in the seeds - precisely in the part of the plant from which OPC is extracted. That's why it makes particular sense to pay attention to high-quality raw materials when it comes to organic OPC.

How many capsules should I take per day?

The recommended daily amount of OPC for adults is often 250-500 mg per day. My AOX OPC preparation contains 75 mg of OPC per capsule. Therefore, I recommend 4 capsules per day for adults to reach a daily amount of 300 mg of OPC.

Please take the capsules with plenty of water and do not exceed the recommended daily intake.

Does OPC help with high cholesterol levels?

OPC is a highly active plant compound derived from grape seeds and is primarily valued for its antioxidant properties. Many people report that taking OPC has helped positively influence blood values such as cholesterol levels.

Grape seed flour can supplement a conscious diet and a healthy lifestyle but does not replace medical treatment for elevated cholesterol levels. If you have elevated cholesterol levels or are taking medication, please speak to your doctor.

When should one take the capsules?

Why are dairy products not recommended?

Lactose can affect the absorption of certain plant compounds, including polyphenols like OPC from grape seeds. Therefore, I recommend not taking the AOX capsules directly with milk, yogurt, or other lactose-containing dairy products. Ideally, they should be taken with water and some time apart from dairy products.
