Sustainably packaged

For the sake of the environment, I try to save plastic wherever possible. The glass jars of my cosmetics are recyclable and ensure that no secondary microplastic gets into your cosmetics due to abrasion.

Wherever it is not possible for safety reasons, I use recyclable aluminum tubes or Re-PET, and my cardboard packaging is also made from recycled paper.

Austria's oldest winery

The history of Nikolaihof in the Wachau dates back almost 2,000 years – to Roman times. Even then, this place was special and has played many significant roles over the centuries. It served as an episcopal see and was the starting point for the founding of numerous monasteries and churches, including St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna.

Towards the end of the 20th century, Nikolaihof came into the possession of the Saahs family, who continue to manage it with great dedication and in harmony with nature to this day.

Over 50 Years of Biodynamics

Nikolaihof is one of the first wineries worldwide to work according to Demeter's strict biodynamic guidelines. For over 50 years, no chemical sprays or artificial fertilizers have been used on our soils and plants – we work with nature, not against it.

This approach results in internationally awarded wines and delicacies of the highest quality. And precisely this philosophy is also reflected in my organic cosmetics. At Nikolaihof, biodynamics is not an award, but a way of life.

My Roots in the Wachau

My organic grape cosmetics come from our own vineyards at Nikolaihof in the Wachau – and that's what makes my Demeter-certified natural cosmetics so special: I know where my raw materials grow, I know the soils they thrive on, and I accompany every step – from the vine to the finished product.

Over 50 Years of Biodynamic Conviction

For over 50 years, we have been working biodynamically at Nikolaihof. This means that no chemicals have been used on our soils for decades. For me, this means: plants that are allowed to grow in their purest form, that unleash their full power, and it's precisely this power that I transfer into my grape cosmetics. For me, biodynamic work is not a method – it's an attitude that you can feel.

Active Ingredients from Our Own Vineyards

When I develop my cosmetics with grapeseed oil, I do so with the aim of not taking anything away from nature, but rather passing it on in its best form. The grapes, the saffron, the linden blossoms – all of this comes from our own biodynamic vineyards. The distances are short, the processing is fresh, and I know exactly what is behind every single ingredient. This is what defines natural cosmetics Austria for me: proximity, honesty, and responsibility.

The Power of Grapes and Precious Plants

I love the effect of grapeseed oil skincare because it nourishes without stressing and is also suitable for sensitive skin. Grapeseed oil is rich in antioxidants and protects the skin in a very gentle, natural way. Saffron brings radiance and balance, while linden blossoms soothe and nourish. It is this combination of power and gentleness that makes my products so special.

What I consciously omit

Just as important to me, however, is what I consciously do not use. In my products, you will find no palm oil, no microplastics, no mineral oils, no paraffins or silicones, and no artificial fragrances or preservatives. For me, real, honest natural cosmetics mean that I hide nothing and add nothing that is not truly good for you and the environment.

Why only 100% Organic is truly pure

I deliberately chose the strict Demeter certification because, for me, it represents the highest standard of purity and quality in natural cosmetics. Many people do not know that conventional raw materials often contain residues of pesticides. That is precisely why only 100% organic quality is an option for me – without any mixing with conventional or genetically modified substances.

Demeter – the strictest standard worldwide

Demeter cosmetics are the oldest and strictest organic certification worldwide. Only a few cosmetic lines meet the strict requirements. My Demeter facial care & body care largely consist of agricultural ingredients, at least 90% of which are biodynamic. The rest is organic – and anything conventional or genetically modified has no place with me. The permitted excipients are also greatly reduced, which makes my products particularly well-tolerated.
